FA Cup Betting Pointers

Chris Hutcheon pinpoints the weekend money making opportunities in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Live scores | Compare odds |

Live on BTSport1: Sat 12:15. Swansea v Tottenham
The first FA Cup quarter final takes place on Saturday lunchtime, with Swansea able to shelve their fight against relegation and they’re 8/1 with bet365 to beat a Tottenham side who are dead set on winning the competition.

After exiting the Champions League, Spurs’ only chance of landing a trophy is the FA Cup and William Hill have 2/5 that they claim victory at the Liberty Stadium although it could be closer than the odds suggest.

The Swans are solid at home and BetVictor go 4/1 that the clash ends all square, while we can’t resist a tentative punt on the home side winning 1-0 at 18/1 with bet365.

Live on BTSport1: Sat 19:45. Man Utd v Brighton
Manchester United have been handed a plum FA Cup quarter final tie by hosting Brighton and the Red Devils are a 3/10 chance with Ladbrokes to beat the Seagulls.

Jose Mourinho’s side clinically shut down Liverpool last weekend and they’re a tempting 21/20 with BetVictor to win the game without conceding, although the visitors can perhaps play more expansively than normal.

Chris Hughton’s side are a 10/1 chance with Paddy Power to pull off an FA Cup upset, with the same firm offering 9/2 that the game ends all square but the momentum should be with United.

Live on BBC1 Sun 13:30. Wigan v Southampton
Wigan Athletic are principally focused on promotion from League One although they stand a chance of making the FA Cup semi-finals, with the Latics 23/10 with Paddy Power to claim the scalp of Southampton after previously beating Manchester City.

The Saints are perilously close to the Premier League drop zone, although they are a 23/20 chance with bet365 to win at the DW Stadium and the same firm offer 12/5 that the game is drawn.

Wigan beat City 1-0 in the previous round, with the League One side available at 17/2 (BetVictor) to claim a victory by a single goal.

Live on BBC1 Sun 16:30. Leicester v Chelsea
Leicester and Chelsea clash on Sunday afternoon for the final FA Cup semi-final spot and it should be a close match, with the Foxes making plenty of appeal at 11/4 (William Hill) to claim victory against opponents who are hot and cold this season.

Antonio Conte’s side are not certain to finish in the top four, with the Blues 11/10 (Ladbrokes) to win at the King Power Stadium, although the draw surely offers better value at 13/5 (Paddy Power) considering that there won’t be much between the teams.

We like the 7/10 with bet365 about both teams finding the net in this clash and Riyad Mahrez makes appeal at 7/1 (BetVictor) to score the opener.
